“Dr. Cody Haun is brilliant when it comes to taking science and applying it practically to achieve the best results possible. I studied under Cody at LaGrange College while pursuing my Master’s degree, and I learned very quickly how excellent and driven he was as not only a professor but also as a coach. We began working together as an athlete and coach at the beginning of January 2019. I had set out to achieve several goals. This included dropping a weight class in powerlifting to be more competitive and qualify for the USAPL Raw Nationals, which I successfully won the USAPL Georgia Spring Open 83kg class after losing approximately 30 lbs. Not only did I win and qualify for Nationals, but I totaled 652.5 kg/1435.5 lbs with squatting and deadlifting over 3x my bodyweight. “Let’s be honest, social media can have an impact. For me, it was a positive life changer! One day I was scrolling through instagram when I stumbled upon a picture of a random person’s before and after pic. I was curious and checked out the website that was credited with her success. Luckily, this led me to Cody! For years, being a good wife, a caring mom to my wonderful daughters as well as my teaching and coaching career had become the focus of my life. . . . which is not a bad thing! But, I had put my own wellness in the backseat, and it was time to change that! I had gained a lot of weight, and the repercussions of the extra weight were making me miserable.
